Contact Mission Lodge No. 169

To Be A Mason, Ask A Mason.
Welcome. Thank you for your interest in Freemasonry.

The first step to take on the staircase towards becoming a Mason is to speak with one. A common slogan “2B1Ask1,” or “to be one, ask one”. Masons do not solicit others to become Masons.

The second step to take on the staircase towards becoming a Mason is to be invited to attend a meeting by a Mason who you know, or from a Lodge that has received your inquiry.

The Grand Lodge of California has a statewide Lodge locator available here. Enter your ZIP Code, and a list of lodges at your area will populate the screen. You may also fill out the Information Request form located on the Grand Lodge website to request additional information and be referred to a lodge near you.

Lodges are not in competition with one another, so you are encouraged to contact and visit more than one Lodge.

If you live in the San Francisco Bay area, then you are certainly most welcome to send us an inquiry. Your request will be received by the Secretary of the Lodge, and forwarded to the Master of the Lodge.

We request the following minimum information:

  • first name,
  • last name,
  • email address, and
  • mobile phone.

The Lodge Secretary will confirm receipt of your inquiry, and the Master will reply shortly thereafter.
